Cheap enemy placements and secrets locked behind specific items that require grinding for coins to unlock. The free-to-play aspect really shows its ugly head later on in both games, though. I love the art-style, graphics, mechanics, and the different cats you can play as. It's like they designed the game to have a dedicated jump button but you can only jump when you run off a ledge. It's still really good, but it's low points were those enemies.Super Cat Tales 2 is even worse with enemy placement. Because it would be a lot better if you could attack. Maybe something like a scratch move, (like Super Mario 3D World!) or SOMETHING. Especially in the second game. Some sort of attack move (besides the helpers) would be very cool, and help against enemies like bats, which you have to run past quickly or else you will take damage, AND THE ENEMIES THAT THROW SNOWBALLS IN THE SNOW WORLD OF 1 WERE SUPER ANNOYING, like, they could two-shot you very easily, with two of them, or just one, for some reason they threw another snowball directly after the first hit which always makes you lose a life.
